Carpet can be one of the most aesthetic features of a home, however little accidents can ruin this very quickly. Food, drink, mud, pet accidents and other unwanted contaminants can not only look dreadful, but cause bad odours throughout your home. Our thorough carpet cleaning methods included in the Standard and Deluxe cleaning packages will remove more soiling and staining than most carpet cleaners can offer, but some stubborn stains will require a more tactical approach. Our Technicians have a range of products and methods available to them to attempt to remove your unsightly stains.
Pet urine in carpet can often go un-noticed. Once the urine has dried it will often stop smelling, with the crystalline salt deposits sitting stagnant in the carpet, underlay and subfloor. Carpet cleaning introduces moisture into the salt deposits and causes them to release an odour once again. This can often result in blame towards a carpet cleaner for doing a bad job when in fact they did not know it was there. Big Reds Technicians all carry with them the latest Trotec moisture meters, as well as Knee Kickers and the associated tools which allows them to conduct a thorough assessment of any carpet suspected of having pet urine within it. We will lift the carpet and investigate the extent of the damage where possible. If the problem is isolated it may be possible to conduct a urine treatment, if it is a vast problem, the carpet and underlay may need disposing of and the subfloor may need sealing, to prevent deposits and odours resurfacing into any new floor covering which is to be laid over the affected subfloor.
